This is the Conservative Club which many ex-Hoddlesden people will remember as the Co-op.  Many functions are held here and recently the Millennium Green Committee held an auction of items donated by celebrities which raised in the region of £500.00.  Thanks to all those who donated including stars of Emmerdale, Coronation Street, Ground Force and individuals such as Maureen Lipman, Alan Bennett, Chris Evans, Rolf Harris and Bill Oddie.

The Hoddlesden Branch of the Women’s Institute meets here on the second Monday of every month at 7.30 p.m.  New members are always made very welcome.

When it became clear that we did not have enough money to complete the project, the Conservative Club had a whip-round and the resulting £100.00 cheque is being presented to Bert, our Treasurer (right)  by Colin Rosney and a gentleman whose name we do not know.
