St Paul’s Church of England

St Paul’s Church meets in a building which was formerly part of St Paul’s school, converted in 1974.  The previous building was located in the churchyard on Johnson New Road, but had to be demolished in 1974 because of dry rot.  The remains of the foundations can still be seen in the churchyard.

The vicar, Geoff Mumford can be contacted at St. Paul’s Vicarage, Johnson New Road, Hoddlesden, Darwen, BB3 3NN,  his telephone number is 01254702598 and you can e-mail him on gmumford@fish.co.uk

A MESSAGE FROM THE VICAR

As a group of Christians meeting together, St. Paul’s Church believes God has called us to be:

Praising and Worshipping God in Spirit and in Truth:

Inclusive of all ages and stages of growth;

Loving God and each other;

Growing in Prayer, Bible study and Commitment;

Responding to those in need, both individuals and the wider community;

Inviting others to come and know God’s love for themselves through Jesus;

Moving forwards and outwards in the power of the Spirit;

Supporting one another as we journey together.

We are PILGRIMS, seeking to know God better and to share His love.  We would welcome anyone to join us as we seek to fulfil what God has called us to do.  We meet to worlship God every Sunday at 8.00 a.m. and 10.45 a.m. in the church, which is in the grounds of St. Paul’s Church of England Primary School.  Do join us!
