THE OPENING OF HODDLESDEN MILLENNIUM GREEN

Saturday 2 September 2000 saw the official opening of our Green by the actress Rosemary Leach, whose father was born in the Village, and who still has relatives in the Village.

Somewhere in the region of 800 to 1000 Villagers gathered outside the Ranken Arms in the centre of the Village and a Grand Parade, led by Blackburn with Darwen ‘B’ Brass Band, walked down to the Green.
