GREENis - The Youth Committee

GENERATING REAL ENERGY, ENTHUSIASM AND new ideas

A group of interested young people aged between 10 and 17 have come together to help with ideas and in practical ways.  They ran the puzzle trail which was part of the Annual Grand Picnic this year and made a great success of it.  They are looking at ways of making the Green more interesting and accessible to our younger visitors and are helping with the Nature and History Trail which, although an idea thought of when we were asking villagers what they wanted from the Green at early stages in its history, was brought to the Trustees’ attention by a member of the GREENis.

We are sure that this group will be of great benefit to the Green and thank them for all the hard work they have put in up to now.

This is a photo of the GREENis Youth Group with their Secretary, Michelle, taken on 22 January, 2006 at the Clay Faces Workshop.  People of all ages came together to make clay faces for inclusion in a piece of Public Art on the Green.
